Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our clients busy team based in Concord, California. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where the specialist will be involved in auditing payables for proper coding, approvals, and disbursement accuracy. Additionally, the specialist will work in a hybrid environment, joining a positive team and working under supportive leadership. Responsibilities Conduct audit activities for accurate coding and approvals in the accounts payable process. Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of payables. Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and other relevant tasks. Maintain and manage customer credit records ensuring their accuracy and up-to-date status. Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner. Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as needed. Use your keen eye for detail to spot errors and make corrections. Adopt a proactive, "can do" approach to work, taking initiative where necessary. Utilize your skills in account coding to ensure the accuracy of financial records. Leverage your experience in Accounts Payable (AP) to enhance the efficiency of our financial operations Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures. Demonstrable experience in audit activities, ensuring financial operations comply with established standards. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis. Proficiency in data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Familiarity with account coding, ensuring the correct allocation of costs to the appropriate accounts. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with internal teams and external vendors. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a collaborative approach to tasks. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proven attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all accounting activities.
