DescriptionSAIC's Horizon program is seeking a Personnel Management Specialist with experience and background in military personnel management to support the U.S. Space Forces mission of delivering warfighter capability via the Space Systems Command's Space Domain Awareness weapon system portfolios. This position is available in El Segundo, California .The Horizon program is supporting Government weapon systems program offices with subject matter experts that have a background with the Department of Defense major capability acquisition as well as business and personnel management processes. Horizon team members provide systems acquisitions office management support on various capability development programs that are intended to protect and defend the Nation's most valuable space assets. Our team is at the forefront of the advising and assisting the Government on a myriad of specialties that enable rapid capability fielding to meet warfighter needs.Fun stuff on the job you will do: Provide personnel management support across employee categories (i.e., Military, Government Civilian). Document Government process for various personnel management actions at the Division-level and manage those process to ensure personnel actions are meeting the suspense timelines and due dates. Ensure leadership is aware of and consistent in applying applicable standards, instruction and policy with respect to personnel actions, if needed. Assist with Executive Assistant duties when necessary. Work with the Government organizations to develop appropriate work flows and communication chains for personnel related matters, if needed.QualificationsThis is you: Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of related experience with personnel management within the DoD community (4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree). Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable). Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.Desired Skills: Master Degree in related field of study (e.g., management, human resources, etc.). Professional certifications (e.g., PMI PMP). Experience with working on classified information systems (e.g., SIPRnet, JWICS, etc.).Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
