Software Engineer

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer based in Glendale, California. This role is crucial to the delivery of our products and software solutions that support our production and marketing teams. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing a scalable video-centric platform used by our team to create and market our content. Responsibilities: Collaborate with a team of software engineers and subject matter experts to design, build, test, and deploy software solutions. Take ownership of the design and development of services/APIs required for various applications. Work closely with video engineers experienced with encoding, DRM, and video delivery. Collaborate with the design team to develop front-end user interfaces using React. Utilize Agile Scrum methodologies to prioritize and estimate work in user stories. Troubleshoot issues and manage defects effectively. Make informed development decisions based on resources, requirements, and complexity. Leverage Cloud Technologies, HTML, CSS, Microsoft Azure, AWS Technologies, React.js, and Kubernetes for software development. Incorporate creativity and storytelling into the development of software solutions. Assist in the management of content through Content Management System (CMS). Act as an instrumental figure in the production and marketing teams. Requirements Proficiency in software development languages including HTML and CSS Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS Technologies Knowledge of front-end JavaScript libraries/frameworks such as React.js Familiarity with UI design principles and best practices Experience in API development and management Understanding of software scalability challenges and solutions Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) Ability to write clear and concise user stories Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies and defect management Proficiency in developing software solutions that meet the needs of diverse stakeholders Experience with container orchestration services, particularly Kubernetes Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts to understand complex requirements Experience in video production and media content generation Ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively Strong creative skills and ability to think outside the box Experience in marketing and design related to software products Ability to tell compelling stories through software Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team environment in a collaborative manner Experience with instrumental software tools and technologies Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to continuous learning and detail oriented development.
