Cost Accountant

Description We are offering an opportunity for a meticulous Cost Accountant to join our team based in Jurupa Valley, California. The role primarily involves cost accounting within the manufacturing industry, with a strong emphasis on ASC606 revenue recognition and full-cycle accounting. Responsibilities: Oversee manufacturing cost accounting procedures and systems Perform cost analysis to assist management in decision making or other financial initiatives Manage % of completion tasks to ensure accurate accounting Implement and adhere to ASC 606 revenue recognition standards Handle full-cycle accounting duties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems for efficient accounting functions (NetSuite) Produce regular reports detailing manufacturing cost accounting activity and status Collaborate with other teams to ensure all financial and accounting operations are accurate Play a key role in the monthly and annual closing processes.If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please call Yvette Merk at (909) 493-6082 immediately!Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting or a related field. Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions. Extensive knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in cost analysis. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and manufacturing cost accounting. Knowledge of ASC 606. Experience with percentage of completion accounting, particularly in a construction accounting context. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is highly desirable.
