Quality Assurance Technician - Rendering

Pay Rate: $25.50 per hour.Schedule - Tuesday - Friday Hours - 11am - 7:30pmESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSPerform product testing.Perform process verification such as metal detector checks, magnet checks, etc.Participate in customer complaint investigations and verify implementation of corrective actions.Interface with Production Supervisors and hourly employees on production and quality procedures.      This position has the authority to hold product that does not conform to customer agreements, finished product specifications, or legal requirements and is authorized to make decision regarding product disposition including release.RESPONSIBILITY FOR QUALITY/FOOD SAFETYAll persons employed or associated with Foster Farms are responsible for the quality and food safety of company products. The food safety and quality policies are summarized and communicated in a company handbook and at training sessions. Each new employee is provided a handbook and attends a food safety training session before beginning work. All employees attend a refresher training session at least once per year. Records are maintained reflecting the distribution of employee handbooks and attendance at the training sessions.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:Special projects or assignments as specified by supervisor.
