Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Long Beach, California. The main role of this position is to handle a complete range of accounts payable duties within a manufacturing setting, with an emphasis on maintaining accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices and payments. Responsibilities: Accurately review, verify, and authorize invoices for payment, ensuring all details are correct. Maintain and update vendor files with accurate contact information. Process electronic transfers and payments, ensuring vendors and expenses are paid in a timely manner. Manage vendor communications, addressing payment inquiries and discrepancies. Contribute to month-end closing processes, assisting where needed. Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy in payments and records. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and prepare analysis of accounts as required. Generate necessary accounts payable reports and assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations and standards. Work towards developing and implementing efficient accounts payable policies and procedures. Skills required include Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Capability to manage Invoice Processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary Experience with QuickBooks is essential Must possess strong organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required Must have the ability to handle confidential information discreetly Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Prior experience in an Accounts Payable role is beneficial.
