With our combined resources CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable and innovating how and where healing can happen both inside our hospitals and out in the community.ResponsibilitiesAs a surgical services nurse at St Mary Medical Center you will prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist in the operating room to ensure they receive excellent nursing when they are at their most vulnerable.Every day you will go over consent forms answer questions about the procedure do preoperative assessments make sure the equipment is ready to go and update family members on the surgery status during the operation. Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR
Care for patients before during and after procedures
Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients

Minimum of three years recent experience Circulator Role in OR or minimum 3 years in an OR for a designated Trauma Center.
Excellent communication skills.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California with a more than satisfactory or outstanding performance rating as a Clinical Nurse III.
Current BLS ACLS PALS certification.
