Anchor Pacifica Management Co. is a respected property management company known for delivering quality service across both residential and commercial properties.

We are looking for a Weekend Self-Storage Assistant Manager/Guest Service Associate that is energetic, outgoing self-starter with excellent sales, marketing and customer service skills. He/she aggressively contributes to profitability by developing and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships and being committed to customer satisfaction. This Assistant Manager pays close attention to detail and has general accounting, marketing and basic computer skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

-Responsible for the sales, marketing, occupancy, and delinquency management of the facility.

-Keeping the facility rented at optimum levels by effectively utilizing advertising, promotional and customer relation skills as approved by management

-Provides outstanding customer service including assessing and resolving customer problems and professionally handling telephone and walk-in inquiries

-Shows, rents and cleans self-storage units as well as actively selling and maintaining supplies of moving and packing materials

-Maintains all required tenant documentation in a neat and orderly manner as directed by management

-Controls delinquencies through telephone contact and letters on a scheduled basis including sending out monthly invoices

-Cleans unit(s) as vacated, hallways, and grounds as needed. Clean office and restrooms daily

-Maintains a neat, clean, safe and secure facility including minor maintenance and daily lock checks as well as visual inspection daily

-General management of the office including but not limited to opening and closing the office on time each day, keeping and balancing petty cash, making daily bank deposits and preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by management

-Assist in preparing units for auction, vacate as prescribed by law, and approved by management

-Effectively communicates with management and fellow associates

WORK SKILLS:

Basic computer operation required. Experience and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, & Windows XP Required. Experience using a self-storage software application is a plus. Understanding of an automated gate system is a plus.

EXPERIENCE - QUALIFICATIONS:

-Prior self-storage experience preferred

-Customer service, retail sales, marketing, general office and telephone skills a plus

-Good organizational skills and basic accounting practices

-Basic knowledge of self-storage industry law a plus

-Successful record of accomplishment of sales and marketing skills in the self-storage or retail industry

-General office functions and experiences a plus

-Ability to pay close attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits:

-Pay: $19.00 per hour

-Part-Time (Saturday & Sunday ONLY); 16 hours per week

-6 paid sick days per year.

Working Conditions:

The Assistant Manager will work primarily indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to various weather conditions. The position requires working on weekends and may involve on-call duties.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time. They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools. The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; regularly operate office machinery. The employee must be able to demonstrate the ability to exert up to 20 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
