Our Company: Join our team at our new space at Helms Bakery, owned and operated by Michelin starred Chef Sang Yoon. The multi-concept retail space will include a coffee shop, bakery, deli, and grab & go.
The Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the property, ensuring that both guest areas and service spaces are well-kept. This role involves a variety of tasks including patio maintenance, high surface cleaning, restroom upkeep, and more. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple responsibilities with a focus on delivering a clean and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Patio Maintenance:
- Bussing tables on the patio, ensuring they are clean and set up for guests.
- Removing trash and recycling from the patio area.
- Sweeping and mopping patio floors as needed.
- Stacking and storing chairs and tables properly.
- Glass and High Surface Cleaning:
- Cleaning glass surfaces, including windows and doors, both inside and outside.
- Reaching and cleaning high surfaces such as light fixtures and ceiling fans.
High Dusting:
- Performing high dusting tasks during off-hours to ensure all areas are free from dust and cobwebs.
Onstage Sweeping:
- Sweeping and maintaining cleanliness on the stage area, if applicable.
- Restroom Maintenance:
- Regularly cleaning and stocking guest restrooms to ensure they are hygienic and well-supplied.
Linen Handling:
- Receiving linen deliveries and checking for accuracy.
- Folding and storing linen in the designated areas.
Storeroom Organization:
- Keeping the storeroom neat and tidy.
- Breaking down boxes, sweeping, and organizing supplies.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
