The Role
The primary responsibility of the nanny is to provide high quality childcare. The nanny’s aim is to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, both as sole and shared charge. They are also expected to help around the house, ensuring a tidy environment, and assist the family, especially the mother, where needed with errands and so forth.
The nanny will work at the principals’ primary residence in Holmby Hills but might be asked to assist on the occasion at their Malibu home. The nanny must also be willing and able to travel with the family as needed domestically and internationally. This includes summers at their home in Canada.
Bonus if Spanish-speaking.
Job Title: Full-time Live-out Nanny
Start: ASAP
Reporting to: The Parents
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Holmby Hills area; second home in Malibu)
Hours: Monday – Friday; 12pm-7pm; with flexibility as needed
Salary: $85k - $110k/year DOE (will pay OT if ever over 40 hours per week)
Benefits: Medical, PTO, Sick days, Major federal holidays
The Family: Dad, Mom, 3 daughters (9, 8, and 6-years-old)
The House: Primary home in Holmby Hills; weekend home in Malibu; and
summer home in Canada
The Staff: full-time housekeeper, part-time housekeeper, weekend nanny
Key Responsibilities

Childcare
Managing daily care routines, including meals, school runs, and evening routines.
Organizing schedules, activities, and appointments.
Coordinating playdates and outings for engagement and education.
Teaching manners and applying discipline per parents' philosophy.
Knowing when to step in or step back.
Light Cleaning & Laundry
Tidying the children’s bedroom and play areas to ensure all games, books, toys, etc. are picked up, cleaned, and stored in their proper location
Tidying the kitchen after preparing meals
Assist with laundering, and putting away clothes for the children
Supplies and Belongings
Ordering supplies, uniforms, clothing, books, toys, etc. as needed and donating those no longer used
Restocking necessary childcare items
Keeping supplies neatly stored
Supporting the Family & Team
Contributing to the smooth running of household where possible – answering doors, helping with errands if asked
Communicating regularly with the parents about the children’s schedule, progress, and well-being
Preparing for, and traveling with, the family as needed
Assisting with ad hoc projects around the home and helping the mother as needed
Requirements
Strong command of English language; good communication skills, both written and verbal
A clean valid Driver’s License, with own car to travel to and from work. Also confident enough to drive the children if required.
Legally able to work within the United States
Must have a valid U.S. Passport for international travel
Lives in the surrounding area
Happy to travel with the family as required, domestically and internationally
Minimum 5 years working in a similar role
First Aid/ CPR trained
Must be happy to be vaccinated in accordance with international travel requirements for locations travelling to
Excellent references required
Happy to have a background check run (criminal & driver)
Happy to sign a confidentiality agreement and non-disclosure agreement before starting work with the family.
