Job Title: Residential Electrician
Location: San Gabriel Valley
Reports To: Project Manager
Job Overview:
The Residential Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential properties. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems and adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential buildings.
Ensure electrical systems are safe and running efficiently.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose electrical issues and malfunctions using appropriate testing devices.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to local and national electrical codes and standards.
Follow safety protocols to ensure the safety of oneself and others on site.
Customer Service:
Communicate with homeowners to understand their electrical needs and provide solutions.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as contractors and plumbers, to complete projects.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
Documentation:
Maintain records of work performed, including time and materials used.
Prepare cost estimates for clients as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a residential electrician.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in various environments.
Valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions:
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand or kneel for extended periods.
May require evening or weekend work depending on project deadlines.
Compensation:
$25-$35hr
