We are currently hiring a self-motivated,high energy individual. Applicants should be able to work on a fast pace manner, comfortable with dogs of all sizes. We prefer someone with experience but will train the right person.
Candidates must maintain a positive attitude, also be able to work efficiently on their own,be in good shape. Reliability and attendance is a must also have a flexible schedule.
"This is a labor intense job" so being in good shape or want to get in shape, this is for you.
Daily use of wheel barrels, picking up 50lbs bags of dog food and other items such as pavers, plywood, dog run chain link panels are occasionally needed. Filling up with dirt the dog run wholes they dig must be addressed immediately.
If you are an outdoors type of individual, you will find this enjoyable as all work is done outside on our property. Most days the weather is beautiful, sunny with fresh air and clear skies, however occasionally we get high winds. Summers are hot so we schedule early shifts, winters are cold so we also schedule accordingly.
Job Duties include:
Monitoring and maintaining control of all the dogs (excessive barking,escape areas etc), cleaning kennels as well as the surrounding property
(trash, miscellaneous items such as supplies,donations must be out back in place)
Attendant is responsible for cleaning up all messes promptly and thoroughly to ensure a safe and clean environment for the animals. Candidate should be familiar with basic canine body language in order to ensure that the dogs are safe and healthy at all times.
Checklists are expected to be completed in a timely manner with attention to detail. New staff are trained on the proper use of tools incorporating proper cleaning- sanitizing to avoid cross contamination,monitoring incoming visitors with donations,package deliveries etc.
Proper casual work attire and water resistant footwear required.
Long distance individuals will not be considered so please do not apply! We are looking for local help.
