Seeking a contract civil litigation paralegal with 5+ years of experience to undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks under the supervision of an attorney. Possibility for a hybrid in office/ remote position.
This position requires exceptional research skills, proficiency with California state and federal court rules/procedures, electronic court filings, basic legal procedure, and law office protocol.
The candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties including drafting, revising, and proofreading correspondence and other legal documents, creating and maintaining client files, managing attorneys’ calendars, answering phones, entering attorneys time, assisting with billing, and other administrative tasks.
Must possess a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and strong oral and written communication skills. Exceptional client service orientation, sound judgment, reliability, problem-solving skills, easy to work with and the ability to remain focused in the midst of dueling priorities are necessary to the position.
The candidate must also be organized, a quick learner, detail-oriented, responsive, comfortable multi-tasking and working for different attorneys, and have a positive “will-do” work ethic
Candidate must have excellent grammar, writing, and editing skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams), Abode, Zoom. Legal research using online services such as Westlaw is helpful but not required.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
