Solo Personal Injury attorney seeking an experienced legal assistant and paralegal. This position requires the candidate to "wear many hats", as it combines elements of a case worker, legal assistant and paralegal position all in one. The ideal candidate is someone who has some experience in the personal injury field but also is willing to learn new skills. At least one year of experience in litigation as a paralegal is required.

While this position is full time in Los Angeles County (Woodland Hills, specifically), it is FULLY REMOTE. The ideal candidate is someone who does well working outside of an office setting, but is also willing to meet in person once or twice a month. While the physical office is in Woodland Hills, the firm is seeking individuals from Los Angeles County, Ventura County or Santa Barbara County, as that is predominantly where the firm's cases are venued.

Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and be able to manage several case files at a time. Candidate must be able to multi-task and do all of the following:

Have good communication skills and be able to communicate with clients in a kind, professional manner

Have above-average computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Word and Outlook

Write professional letters

Organize files and medical records in Dropbox

Input case information into CASEpeer

Work up cases and get them ready for litigation

Communicate with clients to get basic answers to case-related questions and discovery

Calendar litigation deadlines accurately

File documents with the court

Communicate politely and effectively with opposing counsel

Schedule and reschedule depositions

Prepare basic pleadings like form complaints and notices

Propound and respond to basic discovery, with significant attorney oversight

Experience with CASEpeer is a plus, but not mandatory.
