Location: Southern California (Long Beach, San Diego, Inland Empire)
About Us: We are a hands-on ownership group specializing in revitalizing struggling assisted living communities. With four large communities under our care in Southern California and two additional acquisitions set to close in early 2025, we are committed to enhancing the living environments for our residents. Our communities range from 25 to 60 years old and are in varying conditions. We are seeking a talented Designer/Project Manager to lead renovation efforts across our portfolio.
Position Overview: We are looking for a Designer/Project Manager with experience in senior living environments to refresh common areas, suggest potential exterior renovations, and create standardized model rooms to give our communities an updated, cohesive look and feel. This is a contract position that can be paid hourly or by project.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Planning: Develop design concepts for common areas and model rooms that reflect an updated, cohesive aesthetic across all communities.
Material Sourcing: Identify and source FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) that align with the design vision and are appropriate for senior living environments.
Exterior Renovation Proposals: Provide recommendations for exterior improvements that enhance curb appeal and functionality.
Project Management: Oversee the entire renovation process, from initial design through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Collaboration: Work closely with ownership, community staff, and contractors to ensure designs meet operational needs and resident expectations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in designing and managing renovation projects, preferably within senior living or healthcare environments.
Strong understanding of FF&E, especially in the context of senior living.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and bring creative solutions to the table.
