Small boutique residential and commercial design firm seeks a part-time project manager. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, and a self motivated individual who is collaborative and has a minimum of four years full-time experience working for an interior design firm. Candidates will be expected to help principal manage multiple projects, create proposals, purchase orders, manage vendors and timelines, create schedules and specifications, budget management, help manage installations, track orders, edit and create CAD drawings, manage office, maintain supplies, and work with design assistant.
Additional Skills: Able to work independently, has at least 4 year s experience in this type of role for an interior design firm, can problem solve, and is meticulous in both their work and in helping keep the office and systems organized.
Software Proficiency:
-AutoCAD - Intermediate. Must be able to read and draft furniture plans, custom furniture designs, title blocks, sheet sets, RCP, elevations, millwork, details.
-Studio Designer - Proficient in Studio Designer or similiar program. Will need to enter estimates, items, proposals, purchase orders, vendor contact info, etc.
-Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Powerpoint
-Photoshop and Sketchup - Not required but a bonus.
Bright and sunny office 2 blocks from the beach on the canals. Owner brings small dogs to office so must be ok with dogs. Please live in Los Angeles and have a reliable vehicle. Hours will be Monday-Thursday.
