Seeking a compassionate and professional individual for overnight shifts. Your shift would be Saturday 1pm- Sunday 9am. These are sleeping shifts; the client has a good sleep routine. Must be able to pass background check through Chance 4 Change and register with IHSS. Experience, while always a plus, is NOT required. We will provide training. You will be joining an established care team of passionate individuals. We are committed to the welfare and enrichment of our client. We honor open communication and active problem solving.
The job includes cooking, cleaning, transportation, assistance with medication, personal care, errands and engaging the client in activities like hiking or social activities within the community.
The client is an intelligent and curious man, in his mid thirties with autism. He has a variety of ways to advocate for himself including verbal language, gestural prompts and picture sheets. He is a kind, caring man with a great sense of humor. He is an active participant in his home. He assists with household chores, community errands and his own personal care. He is the kind of man who knows what he likes and knows how to ask for it!
