Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled 3G MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing MIG welding in the 3G position (vertical) on various materials, including steel and aluminum. The 3G MIG Welder will be responsible for welding components and assemblies with precision and attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding in the 3G position (vertical) on steel, aluminum, and other metals as required.
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings for materials being welded.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
Inspect welds for quality and accuracy, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects on time.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or technical training is a plus.
Proven experience as a MIG welder, with a focus on 3G position welding.
Strong understanding of welding techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Physical ability to perform welding tasks, including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting.
Skills:
Proficiency in MIG welding techniques, especially in the 3G position.
Knowledge of various metals and their welding properties.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Familiarity with welding safety practices and PPE.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
May involve exposure to high temperatures, noise, and welding fumes.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
