Experienced Carpenter Needed
We are searching for an experienced, hardworking Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work with limited supervision on our residential and commercial projects on the Monterey Peninsula. Some of the duties will include cabinet making, framing, decking, window and stair customizations, molding and trim, baseboard installations, etc. If you have a love for precision and the experience to complete any build requirements assigned, we want to meet with you! Prior experience or training in trim carpentry/finish carpentry is important, along with at least 3-5 years in construction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Able to follow directions and building plans.
Able to work with a variety of items including roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work.
Able to install various items including cabinets, shelving, furniture, drywall, and insulation.
Attention to detail is a must.
Must have experience fitting and installing window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter's level, plumb bob, laser levels, and other tools.
Able to study and understand specs found in blueprints, sketches, or building plans.
Experience shaping or cutting materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
Able to follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment at all times.
Experience building or repairing cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
Able to conduct all work in a professional manner and always promptly clean up any worksite debris.
Qualifications & Skills
The right candidate for this position should be able to work full time, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Must have own vehicle and common carpentry tools.
Must have 3-5 years of carpentry experience, construction experience, reputable references (0r equivalent combination) and the ability to communicate effectively.
Must be responsible and have reliable transportation.
Bilingual preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also a must.
Drug testing will be required.
