Description We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner, reconciling invoices, preparing reports on our overall budget, and maintaining contact with vendors to ensure billing accuracy.Responsibilities:
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and statements.
Coordinate with vendors regarding billing and payments and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments.
Maintain vendor files and correspondences.
Assist in month-end closing by preparing various reports.
Maintain historical records by electronically filing documents.
Disburse petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation.
Contribute to the development of the overall corporate budget.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in related field preferred.
Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Hands-on experience with spreadsheet and proprietary software.
Strong data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
