Insomniac’s West Coast Clubs Division includes venues world renowned venues; Exchange LA, Academy LA, Avalon, Day Trip in the Park, Time Nightclub, Nova SD, and Bloom.

THE ROLE

The Maintenance Technician at our club is a crucial role responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for employees and customers. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the club's high standards of safety, quality, and a visually appealing environment for our employees and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your multi-faceted skills and dedication ensure that our club remains a well-maintained and attractive destination for our customers

Your expertise spans various maintenance tasks, from addressing facility issues to managing light construction and handyman projects

Safety and compliance are your guiding principles, and you approach each task with meticulous attention to detail

Your ability to troubleshoot problems and tackle projects sets swiftly and efficiently sets you apart

Your commitment to cleanliness and safety is unwavering, and you consistently deliver high-quality results

Execute routine maintenance and repairs on club facilities, including buildings, electrical systems, plumbing, and fixtures

Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively

Maintain and repair various equipment, machinery, and building systems within the club, such as HVAC systems, sound systems, kitchen appliances, and plumbing

Perform preventative maintenance to extend the life of equipment and reduce downtime

Undertake small construction projects, repairs, and improvements to club facilities, including carpentry, painting, and minor installations

Ensure projects are completed to high-quality standards

Adhere to safety protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements while performing maintenance tasks

Report safety concerns and compliance issues promptly

Respond to maintenance and repair emergencies, such as equipment malfunctions or facility issues, to minimize disruptions and ensure customer and employee safety

Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and materials, promptly replenishing as needed

Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, preventative maintenance schedules, and supply usage

Provide documentation for audit and compliance purposes

Collaborate with the Production department team, other departments, and management to coordinate maintenance tasks and address specific needs

All other duties as assigned by the Club Management

Ability to consistently lift, bend, twist, reach overhead, drag, push, pull, and kneel throughout the scheduled work shift

All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per club standards

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in facility and equipment maintenance, light construction, and handyman tasks

Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in maintenance tools and equipment, including power tools and heavy machinery

Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Ability to work within a variety of work environments, including dark and/or enclosed spaces

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety

A valid CA driver’s license and a clean driving record (required)

Proficiency in standard computer skills, including typing, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook

Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive and confidential information

Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demanding schedules

Professionalism, poise, and a positive attitude, even in high-pressure situations

Ability to consistently lift and carry up to 85 lbs

High School Diploma or equivalent, required

Additional technical training or certifications related to maintenance and repair are beneficial

5 years in a maintenance, repair, construction, or similar position

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position

WORK ENVIRONMENT

● Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments in dynamic work locations

● May work in drastic temperature climates when at venues

● Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events

Hiring Salary Range: $24/hour
