We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the shipping products, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries, and maintaining detailed records.
Responsibilities:
Preparing Shipments:
-Ensure that products are properly packed, labeled, and documented for shipping.
-Prepare and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary shipping documents
Tracking Shipments:
-Monitor and track shipments to ensure they reach their destinations on time.
-Update shipment status in the company's tracking systems.
Inventory Management:
-Keep accurate records of items shipped and received.
-Assist in maintaining inventory levels by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies.
Coordinating with Carriers:
-Arrange pick-ups and deliveries with shipping carriers.
Customer Service:
-Communicate with customers via email and phone regarding shipment details, delays, or issues.
-Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to shipping.
Compliance:
-Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and company policies.
-Prepare and file necessary customs documentation for international shipments.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with warehouse staff, purchasing departments, and other teams to ensure smooth shipping operations.
- Coordinate with the receiving department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of incoming goods.
