Branch/Retail Banking Clerk

Description We are looking for a meticulous Branch/Retail Banking Clerk to join our team based in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in handling cash transactions, resolving customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate customer records. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity within the banking industry.Responsibilities: Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Utilize banking software and tools to process customer applications and maintain accurate records. Provide outstanding customer service by resolving customer inquiries and problems professionally. Cross-sell bank products and services, identifying opportunities to promote these effectively. Ensure compliance with banking rules and regulations in all transactions and account servicing. Set up and service online banking for customers, as applicable. Manage the opening, closing, and servicing of safe deposit boxes, as assigned. Process debit card orders and servicing. Handle complex operational issues independently, escalating to management when necessary. Maintain a safe and effective office operation. Participate in ongoing training and achieve satisfactory ratings on all regulatory compliance audits.
