POSITION OVERVIEW
Total Turf is seeking an experienced Senior Foreman to join our team who will both oversee crews and actively participate in the hands-on installation of artificial turf, pavers, and concrete projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all phases of installation, from ground preparation to final finishing touches, and demonstrate leadership qualities that inspire excellence in workmanship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and work alongside installation crews on residential and commercial projects
Perform hands-on labor across all installation phases
Interpret and execute project plans and specifications
Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure all requirements are met
Manage project timelines and ensure quality control
Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques
Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges
Maintain job site safety in compliance with OSHA regulations
Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
Complete required documentation and daily reports
ARTIFICIAL TURF EXPERTISE REQUIRED
Ground Preparation, Grading, and Drainage: Expert knowledge in site assessment, proper grading techniques, and installation of effective drainage systems
Landscaping Fabric and Decorative Rock Installation: Proficiency in proper application of weed barriers and decorative rock placement
Irrigation Systems: Experience installing and modifying irrigation systems to work with artificial turf landscapes
Base Rock Installation: Skills in calculating, ordering, and installing the proper amount and type of base materials
Decomposed Granite Installation: Knowledge of proper compaction techniques and finishing methods
Turf Installation: Mastery of turf layout, cutting, seaming, nailing techniques, and proper infill application
PAVER & CONCRETE EXPERTISE REQUIRED
Base preparation and compaction for paver installations
Precise paver cutting and pattern layouts
Concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques
Decorative concrete applications
Knowledge of different concrete mixes and applications
Experience with concrete staining and sealing
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in artificial turf installation
Minimum 1 years of experience with paver and concrete installation
Previous supervisory experience required
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Physical ability to perform demanding manual labor in various weather conditions
Commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
Capacity to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and squat for extended periods
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
