Production Team Member

Job Summary: The Production Team Member is responsible for receiving and redistribution of products, materials, and other items from the warehouse to the packing room. Operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring that all products meet quality standards, and contributing to the efficient functioning of the business. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Production Equipment: Efficiently operate the pouring machine to redistribute products into various size containers as well as operate other equipment used in the production process. Precisely and accurately label items and maintain stock in the packing room.

Inventory Management: Assist with the receiving and management of raw materials as well as finished goods inventory, including counting, organizing, and reporting.

Quality Control: Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Report any issues to the supervisor immediately.

Maintain Equipment: Perform routine calibration and maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions.

Janitorial Tasks: Perform basic janitorial duties such as maintaining work areas, disposing of waste/cardboard, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the production environment.

Shipping: As needed, prepare products for shipping, including packing, labeling, and using various software programs to document shipments.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, materials used, and any issues encountered.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to achieve production targets and maintain a positive work environment.

Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and quality.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with UPS Worldship, Stamps.com, and other shipping software is preferred.

Skills:

Ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Basic math and measurement skills.

Basic computer skills and understanding of Google workspace programs

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Capability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 60 lbs).

Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

The production environment includes exposure to chemicals and other industrial elements.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and aprons will be required.

Compensation and Benefits:

$18 per hour to start with merit based increases
