SUMMARY

The Sales Support Specialist is crucial to the success of the Earthmoving Sales department, ensuring the Sales Team has the necessary support to quote machines, achieve sales growth, and maintain profitability. This position is responsible for accurate quoting, merchandising program support, invoicing, and financing assistance. Additionally, this role involves traveling to other branches to interact with the Sales Team and engage with the Marketing and Sales Management Teams to support market share growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee all finance programs to assist the sales team in generating accurate quotes and ensuring their appropriate use.

Assist in developing, implementing, communicating, and ensuring the execution of merchandising programs for the entire sales team.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all sales support inquiries, including merchandising options, financing options, merchandising support calculations, quoting support, validation of quotes, and communication with CAT Product Representatives.

Process invoices, merchandising claims, and accruals related to machine sales transactions.

Communicate information about aged machines and available support options.

Reconcile merchandising support in GCSS monthly.

Collaborate with Sales Management and CAT Product Representatives to execute targeted programs for specific customer bases or industries.

Make informed decisions on merchandising programs and finance structures to optimize profitability.

Participate in planning, promoting, and executing relevant programs, events, or initiatives provided by Caterpillar and/or Holt.

Generate operational reports for the sales department.

Provide training on new processes and ensure sustained process adherence.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree with 2 to 4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license and a clean DMV driving report.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range $27.00 to $34.00hourly

Wage depends on knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
