Gas Station Manager

Pay DOE 60K-70K per year

Manages the retail sales operations to include planning, directing, and coordinating the work of staff, performing cost analyses for product line and selection, displays, shelving and furnishing, and inventories. Ensures all Team Member performance surpasses guest expectations, products and displays are priced effectively to maximize sales and productivity. Must have knowledge of CERS, health dept., environmental, hazardous waste, and gas pumps.

CORE SCOPE OF POSITION

Manages the daily operations of retail services, ensuring service standards are delivered consistently, staffing levels are appropriate, and team follow all governmental laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.

Reviews the Retail department’s work schedules and team members’ performance along with the shift supervisors, including service standards, sale/marketing expectations, and property and staff appearance.

Develops professional goals/objectives for direct reports and facilitates growth and opportunities for the team. Participates in hiring processes, administers coaching, and mediate employees disputes as needed.

Oversees and coordinates training to meet or exceed objectives in sales, costs, team member development and retention, guest service and satisfaction, product quality, cleanliness, and sanitation of the all retail areas, with a focus on cross-training for a more efficient operation and higher service delivery.

Develops, plans, and executes retail sales marketing, advertising, and promotional activities in coordination with vendors and fuel supplier.

Establishes par levels for all supplies and products, completing requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business.

Develops, implements, and communicates departmental procedures. Evaluates and requests modifications to existing policies and procedures to ensure accurate audit trails and optimum productivity.

Ensures that transfer slips and spill sheets are filled out and distributed in accordance with departmental

Maintains complete knowledge and strictly abides by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.

Coordinates and implements the maintenance of all equipment to ensure safety and proper working order.

May perform duties of all retail positions as necessary.

Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained.

Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines

Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Excellent money handling skills.

Knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.

Ability to listen, multitask, and manage time.

Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress work environment.

Must be dependable, timely and have high attention to detail.

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE

Must be age 21 years of age or older.

Management/leadership experience required (3 years minimum).

Experience working with online Point of Service (POS) system

Must have knowledge of CERS, health dept., environmental, hazardous waste, and gas pumps.
