Located in beautiful North County San Diego in sunny Southern California, Rawhide Ranch is a one-of-a-kind old west town. It is a high energy, completely unique, year-round youth camp program for kids ages 7-15. We have horses and livestock animals that kids ride and work while here, along with other traditional camp activities like archery and crafts.
We are hiring on-call instructors, for 4-to-8-hour shifts on Wednesdays through Sundays, to help us teach our campers about horses and other ranch/camp activities. This position requires:
Teaching beginning horse science and riding to campers aged 7-15
Provide basic care for the horses including feeding, watering, and cleaning pens.
Provide supervision to our campers in doing basic ranch chores (feeding, watering, cleaning pens, etc.)
Provide first aid and basic veterinary care to any animal that needs it.
A Rawhide Ranch Horsemanship instructor will:
Have a heart to reach, teach and love on kids
An aptitude for teaching
Experience with children and horses
Possess a positive and exemplary attitude
Love the outdoors and physical activity
Be able to work and have fun at the same time
Have the proven ability to work and thrive in a team environment
Able to take directions well and learn quickly
