Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm
This is a single position that encompasses all of the duties listed below. Responsibilities are not limited to these tasks.
Prep Cook Duties
Wash, chop, portion, and prepare ingredients according to daily prep lists.
Prepare house-made dressings and sauces, following established recipes.
Label, date, and store all prepared food properly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized prep area at all times.
Monitor inventory of ingredients; communicate low stock to management.
Set up and break down prep stations efficiently.
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (ServSafe practices).
Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries.
Support line cooks during service as needed (refilling ingredients, light line work).
Expeditor Duties
Act as the communication link between kitchen and front of house.
Review incoming orders for accuracy and timing.
Assemble, garnish, and quality-check plates before they go to guests.
Ensure food is presented neatly and consistently according to café standards.
Coordinate timing so all items for each ticket are ready together.
Call out orders to kitchen staff clearly and professionally.
Assist with packaging to-go and catering orders.
Maintain a clean expo line and keep serviceware stocked.
Communicate any delays, special requests, or issues to FOH.
Help maintain smooth, fast-paced service during peak hours.
