Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist is a strategic and operational leader responsible for shaping and executing the company’s human capital strategy. This position oversees all HR functions, including talent acquisition, organizational development, employee relations, total rewards, compliance, and culture. Ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a business-minded HR leader who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment, combining executive-level vision with practical execution to support both office and field-based teams.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations ; Compliance

Lead employee relations, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant practices.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, OSHA, and DOT regulations.

Oversee HR audits, policy updates, and employee handbook revisions.

HR Operations & Systems

Manage HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits administration) for efficiency and data accuracy.

Track and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, retention, engagement, and workforce costs.

Develop standardized HR processes to support scalability and consistency across locations.

Culture & Engagement

Foster a positive, safety-oriented, and values-driven work environment.

Lead engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications that reinforce company culture.

Serve as an ambassador of the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

2+ years of HR experience

Experience in construction, equipment rental, manufacturing, or field-service industries strongly preferred.

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

Proven ability to align HR strategy with business goals in a mid-sized, growing organization.

Knowledge of employment law, safety compliance, and workforce development.

Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.

Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and reporting systems
