Disability Rights Firm Seeks Experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal

We are a boutique law firm who represents children with disabilities in educational, personal injury and discrimination claims against school districts and public agencies. We have successfully represented students in over 100 school districts throughout the state of California.

We are looking for an experienced civil litigation paralegal to assist in all phases of the civil litigation process: Trial preparation, Discovery, Law and Motion, Drafting Complaints, Answers and Motions. Cases are in Federal, State and Administrative Court.

We are seeking to hire a full-time paralegal who has at least 3 years' experience in civil litigation. Associates will work with a small team of attorneys, all working collaboratively to efficiently provide our clients with the best possible results. We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

Paralegal certificate is preferred but we would consider a candidate with strong experience.

Must have at least 3 years of experience in civil litigation.

Experience drafting pleadings, and other work associated with the practice of civil litigation.

Strong computer skills.

Knowledge of local rules of the Court.

Excellent legal research, advocacy, analytical and writing skills.

Strong interest in social justice and civil rights.

Draft pleadings, briefs, and legal correspondence with precision and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and diligence.

Manage projects independently while collaborating with attorneys.

Contribute to long-term client relationships.

A growth mindset with an eagerness to learn is a necessity.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay: starting pay at $71K but is based on experience.

Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.

On site requirement: 4 days per week with future option for 3 days.
