In this critical role, you will be the cornerstone of our wholesale and compliance operations, ensuring that our wholesale business practices meet and exceed all state and federal regulations. About the Role:
As our Designated Representative, you will oversee the lawful and secure distribution of prescription drugs within our wholesale operations. You will ensure compliance with all aspects of the Pharmacy Law, the California Business and Professions Code (or relevant state statutes), and FDA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assume responsibility for the facility’s compliance with all laws governing the wholesale distribution of prescription drugs and dangerous devices.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and shipping conditions (e.g., temperature control, security) are maintained for all pharmaceutical products.
Review and approve all transactions for purchasing and selling medical devices.
Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, including pedigrees, invoices, and audit trails.
Conduct or oversee regular inventories and reconciliation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Board of Pharmacy inspectors and other regulatory officials.
Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs).
What We’re Looking For:
Required: A current, valid, and in-good-standing Designated Representative License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy (or applicable state board).
Proven experience (1+ years) in a wholesale pharmaceutical distribution or pharmacy compliance role is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of state and federal laws (e.g., DSCSA, CA Pharmacy Law).
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong ethical judgment and a commitment to patient safety.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Proficiency with pharmacy software and inventory management systems.
