Hemphill Construction is a General Contractor specializing in the construction of high-quality multi-family residential developments. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to the successful execution of our growing portfolio.
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of multi-family construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale projects involving concrete podium and all-concrete building construction, along with exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multi-family construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain quality control.
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
Foster a collaborative and productive environment among project teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is beneficial but not required. We prefer a minimum of 10 years of project management experience in multi-family construction, with a strong focus on concrete podium and all-concrete building projects.
Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques, particularly in concrete construction.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP certification or equivalent.
LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable building practices.
Experience working with municipal approvals and permitting processes.
