Pacific Coast Auto Detail Center is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and experienced Painter/Prep Technician to help us grow. We are a newer collision repair center, currently utilizing solvent shop line paint and looking to transition to water-based paint. Our small shop offers a variety of services, including car panel repairs and replacements, minor straightening, caliper painting, chrome delete, minor road rash rim repairs, and many other services. We need someone with good work ethics and the ability to take a damaged car from start to finish, ensuring a quality repair.
Position: Auto Body and Collision Painter/Prep Technician
Location: 2719 Market Street, San Diego, CA 92102
Responsibilities:
Repair and paint an array of car panels and parts, ensuring high-quality finishes.
Work closely with the prep technician to prepare vehicles for the collision repair process, including disassembly and reassembly of vehicle components.
Sand and prime surfaces to prepare for painting.
Mask and protect areas not to be painted.
Perform quality control checks on finished repairs.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Maintain clean work habits throughout the process.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of recent experience as an Auto Body Technician.
Proficiency in proper sanding and priming techniques.
Ability to disassemble and reassemble vehicles as needed for repairs.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
