Description We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Support Technician for a contract position based in San Mateo, California. The role will involve providing key desktop support in a MAC environment, requiring excellent communication skills. This is a role that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced startup. Responsibilities: Provide desktop support to maintain the efficient operation of systems Administer, install, and troubleshoot MAC OS systems, ensuring optimal performance Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve technical issues Implement system enhancements to improve functionality and performance Maintain accurate documentation of system issues and resolutions Provide clear communication to users regarding system updates and issue resolution Continuously update skills and knowledge to keep up with technological advancements Ensure compliance with company's IT policies and procedures Participate in IT projects and initiatives as requiredRequirements 4+ work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Knowledge of Mac OS is essential Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are desired Should have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required Should have the capacity to work well in a team environment as well as independently Familiarity with network protocols, firewall management, and database administration is a plus Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and data security standards A certification like MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) or similar is preferred Should be able to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements Availability for on-call support on a rotational basis is necessary Experience with cloud-based infrastructure is a plus Must have a proactive approach to identify problems and solutions.Apply today!
