Collections Specialist

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Santa Ana, California. This role primarily involves maintaining customer credit records, processing credit applications, and resolving invoice discrepancies in a fast-paced environment. The industry focus is on construction, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop professionally.Responsibilities: Oversee high volume outbound calls to suppliers and customers. Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency. Maintain precise records of customer credit. Review subcontractor payment statements and accounts receivables. Examine and resolve any discrepancies in invoices. Ensure swift resolution of any customer inquiries. Maintain a steady focus in a fast-paced environment. Utilize strong communication skills to effectively multitask. Review combinations of invoices for accuracy. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in commercial and consumer collections Demonstrated experience in credit collections Ability to identify and resolve invoice issues and discrepancies Proven skills in reviewing and processing vendor invoices Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Demonstrated ability to handle high volume of invoices Proven track record in maintaining accurate records Strong negotiation and customer service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven problem-solving skills Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred.
