Shupe Construction is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to help organize and manage our residential construction projects from planning to finishes.
You’ll work directly with the General Contractor to coordinate schedules, track progress, and communicate with employees, subcontractors, and vendors. This position is ideal for someone who’s organized, good with details, and interested in learning more about how residential construction projects come together.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist the GC with daily organization, scheduling, and timelines
Coordinate and follow up with subcontractors and suppliers
Review and code employee timecards and receipts weekly for correct job allocation
Help manage cost-plus contracts, pricing, and items vs. actuals reports
Maintain project files and updates using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Support invoicing and cost tracking through QuickBooks
Use ChatGPT and other digital tools to improve efficiency and workflow
Requirements:
General understanding of residential construction (planning through finishes)
Experience with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
Strong organizational and communication skills
Tech-friendly and open to learning new systems and tools
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks
Valid driver's license.
Preferred but not required:
Experience in construction administration, project coordination, or office management
