Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive and versatile Property Care / Maintenance / Guest Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a “Can Do” attitude who is a self-starter and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of rental properties, assisting guests, and managing property inspections. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to be on call during weekends and some holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of rental properties to ensure they meet our quality standards.
On-Call Duties: Be available for emergencies and property inspections sometimes after hours and during many weekends / holidays.
Restocking Supplies: Maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed for the properties.
Guest Assistance: Provide support to guests, addressing their needs and ensuring a pleasant stay.
Vendor Coordination: Meet and manage vendors for property maintenance and repairs.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve property-related issues efficiently.
Maintenance Tasks: Perform minor repairs such as tightening loose screws, replacing batteries, etc.
Knowledge of Home Systems: Demonstrate understanding of home systems and troubleshoot issues with internet devices, TVs, appliances, circuit boxes, and other electronics.
Delivery Duties: Use a reliable car to deliver supplies and other items to properties.
Cleanliness & Diligence: Ensure properties are meticulously clean and well-maintained and any maintenance items are reported.
Additional Support: Provide assistance in other areas as needed.
Qualifications:
Multitasking Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
“Can Do” Attitude: Positive, proactive approach to problem-solving and daily responsibilities.
Self-Starter: Motivated to take initiative and work independently.
Flexibility: Must be adaptable to varying schedules and on-call requirements.
Reliability: Dependable with a strong commitment to working all scheduled and on-call shifts.
Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in hospitality is a plus.
Knowledge of Home Systems and small Maintenance Items: Familiarity with home systems and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to fix small maintenance issues
Technical Proficiency: Good understanding of internet devices, TVs, and basic electronics.
Cleanliness: High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Vehicle: Access to a reliable car for transportation of supplies.
Location: Must live in Santa Barbara or close by to be able to respond within 20 minutes on site.
Working Hours:
Weekdays: On call during hours of 10:00-6:00 for whatever needs to get done for the day
(schedule will vary, flexibility is key)
Weekends and After hours: TBD
Availability on some holidays required.
Additional Information:
Compensation: (Dependent on experience) bonuses and other incentives after 90 day probationary period.
