Systems Engineer I.

Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer I in Santa Clara, California to join our Network Qualification lab. This role provides the opportunity to manage lab operations and offer technical support. The successful candidate will be adept at providing advice and superior service to Oracle personnel, recognizing deviations from standard practice, and performing moderately complex problem-solving in a technical support environment. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage lab operations, ensuring efficient day-to-day functioning Provide technical support, offering advice to Oracle personnel as required Ensure superior customer satisfaction through effective communication and collaboration Identify deviations from accepted practice and take appropriate action Carry out moderately complex problem-solving tasks with minimal assistance Maintain and adhere to defined policies and procedures Utilize knowledge of PC/laptop hardware architecture and Windows OS Maintain a high level of competency in LAN composition and Ethernet technology Utilize knowledge of TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NetBios, and dial-up technologies to support operations. Requirements Proficiency in technical support, including providing technical support to customers, is required. Must possess strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Experience with operations and procedures, particularly in a systems engineering context. Knowledge of policy development and implementation. Ability to ensure customer satisfaction through superior customer service. Proficiency in Oracle and Windows OS is necessary. Familiarity with laptop hardware and PC OS. Knowledge of Internet Area Network (IAN), Composition, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IPX, and EO/IR systems. Must have the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
