Billing Clerk
Location: Santa Maria, CA
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Clerk for our main office in Santa Maria. This multi-tasked role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong administrative abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. As a key member of the team, you will handle various tasks, including invoicing, scheduling freight pick-ups, processing accounts payable, and assisting with customer service and accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
Data entry into accounting software and pre-formatted Excel templates
Generate and proof invoices before sending to clients
Coordinate with freight companies to schedule pick-ups
Process accounts payable invoices, including freight, for payment
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle other administrative duties
Serve as a backup for customer service and accounting team members
Assist with special projects as assigned by management
Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A team player willing to support colleagues during peak times
full time M-F $17.00 to $18.00 to start

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

8 hour shift
