We are a successful North Bay CPA firm in need of an exceptional, career-minded individual. We provide tax, accounting and business management services to a variety of clients, including musicians/entertainers, professional athletes, small businesses and individuals, and are looking for new staff to join the team.
The ideal candidate will have prior CPA firm experience, including a background in both tax preparation (primarily individual and business returns), as well as general accounting/bookkeeping. To be successful and effective in this position, the candidate will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the confidence to work directly with clients. The candidate should be flexible, hard-working, and be able to thrive in a small firm environment. The entire firm, from staff to partners have a “roll up your sleeves” mentality. This position requires the ability, skills, and experience to take a project from start to finish, successfully interacting with clients, taxing authorities, other staff, and partners. Overtime is required during tax season and other less-frequent periods during the year.
The opening is for on-site employment at our downtown San Rafael office.
What we are looking for:
CPA/EA or CPA Candidate
Recent CPA firm experience in both tax preparation and accounting. Tax preparation experience should include both individual and all entity types. Accounting experience should include strong general ledger skills, including reviewing and making adjustments
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with CCH ProSystem (preferred) or comparable tax software
Solid working knowledge of Excel and Word
Ability to successfully manage clients and a high-volume of assignments simultaneously
