Job Description:

The Maitre’d for Fiorella is responsible for the setup, organization, and pace of the dining room to ensure an even and measured flow of guests for each service.The Maitre’d leads our guest facing duties on a daily basis with professionalism, respect, efficiency, knowledge and awareness. This role collaborates closely with the General Manager and the Culinary Team to help create a unified guest experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

Organize the pace of the dining room, ensuring an even and measured flow for the nightly dinner service

Run the door as an anchor & delegate seating: greet arriving guests, escort them to their designated table and ensuring that they will be comfortable for their stay

Enforce the highest and most detail oriented guest experience.

Ensure doors open exactly on time

Review reservation notes and put anything relevant on line-up notes for the night.

Updating and printing menus, website and delivery apps: reflecting daily and seasonal changes to our wine and food programs; check in with FOH and BOH for relevant updates.

Managing the phone system; taking phone orders as well as reservations, confirm reservations, respond to voicemails

Restock, clean & organize host stand

Ensure iPads and tablets are charged & in position at beginning of service / turn off and put all tablets back in safe at close of service

Comp and void things as necessary including staff drinks

Communication with GM/Chef and day of FOH hourly staff

Leading Lineups in the absence of the Manager

Delegate service related tasks to other employees

Creation of End of Night Notes

Server and Bartender Close Out & Tips Sheets

Lock Restaurant as necessary

Essential functions

Standing and/or walking for up to 8 hours with a 10 min rest break after every 4 hours worked

Lift up to 40# without assistance

Reach overhead
