As a line cook at Unwine’d, you may need to independently manage kitchen operations two days a week, handling preparation, service, and cleaning responsibilities during these shifts.
Everyday Responsibilities:
Ingredient Preparation: Cutting fruits, cheeses, tomatoes, and olives for charcuterie boards, salads, and pinsas.
Restocking: Monitor inventory and inform the head chef of items needing reordering.
Dish Assembly: Create components like crostinis and desserts, shucking oysters, as well as complete dishes such as charcuterie boards, salads, pinsas, appetizers, and desserts.
Equipment Use: Operate and maintain equipment, including the deli slicer, with a focus on cleanliness and safety.
Presentation Standards: Ensure all dishes are plated to high presentation standards before serving.
Cleaning and Closing Duties:
Wash dishes, sweep, and mop to maintain a clean kitchen environment.
Perform closing tasks, including wrapping food, turning off appliances, washing dishes, taking out trash, and thorough cleaning.
Additional Duties:
Occasionally assist as a food runner, delivering meals to tables and clearing plates to support smooth service.
