Starting salary up to $56.32/hourly ($117,546/annually) and a competitive total compensation package!
As an Airport IT Specialist II, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting technical systems, hardware, software, and devices, as well as providing technical assistance and support to department staff. Responsibilities of this position include:
Serving as the lead administrator for the Sonoma County Airport's terminal building LAN, including configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades
Coordinating the repair, relocation, addition, installation, activation, deactivation, and removal of technical devices
Providing brief user training and education on systems, software, and hardware, as well as preparing and delivering formalized training on various applications and services to all levels of department staff
The ideal candidate will possess:
Two years of experience providing both hands-on and remote support for hardware, software, desktops, laptops, and peripherals in a non-scripted environment.
Extensive experience in administering and supporting network hardware (Fortinet and Cisco preferred) and mobile devices in an enterprise setting, and in ensuring the proper functioning of network firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and VLANs
The ability to provide clear and concise technical support and training to users with varying levels of technical expertise
