Maintenance Technician

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician for our property. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a team responsible for maintaining efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds. You will work with various building facility issues such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliances. For larger tasks, you will coordinate with outside vendors and be the eyes and ears of the property management staff.

Compensation and Benefits:

-Pay $30-$45 hourly DOE

-Discounted Rent Available (⅓ of market price) - Onsite Living Optional (Preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Complete maintenance work orders, including (but not limited to) electrical, plumbing, light carpentry, appliances, and HVAC work orders, in a safe and timely manner.

-Troubleshoot, repair, and replace in-unit appliances.

-Complete necessary maintenance turnover work for move-ins.

-Maintain all equipment to ensure safety and proper upkeep.

-Maintain common areas for safety and appearance.

-Deliver or post notices to residents.

-Perform move-in / move-out inspections.

-Interact with customers and co-workers positively and professionally.

-Perform regular walkthroughs and inspections of the property to ensure everything is well-kept and safe. May need to provide access to vendors and potential tenants as necessary.

-Inspect work done by third-party vendors.

-Adhere to company rules and standards of conduct.

-Assist & drive to other nearby properties managed by JKL Corporation if necessary.

-Respond to off-hours emergencies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

-Previous maintenance experience in building maintenance or construction.

-High school diploma or equivalent.

-Communicate and write in English.
