We are looking for a passionate plant lover who is available for work 2 days per week.
About the property
Large hillside estate with pool, fountains, decks, living wall, and mixed native/ornamental gardens. The grounds host weekend events, so Friday grounds preparation is essential.
Stepped, multi-level terraces connected by extensive stairs surround the home, each level with its own seating areas and garden beds.
Schedule and pay
- 2 days per week: Fridays required; Mondays strongly preferred but Tuesdays feasible
- 6-hour shifts each day (about 12 hours/week), with occasional extra hours before events if needed
- $30/hour and negotiable based on experience
GARDEN CARE
- Bed Maintenance
- Weed control and pruning
- Watering and Irrigation
- Soil care
- Standard seasonal care
GROUNDS CARE
- Pool and water features (training provided)
- Trash removal
- Leaf blowing, outdoor surface cleaning, and window exteriors annually
- Exterior windows quarterly
Communication
- Coordinate with the owner or the property manager
- Send a brief text summary after each shift, noting completed tasks, supplies needed, and any issues
What you bring
- 3+ years of professional gardening/groundskeeping on large or complex properties
- Strong plant care knowledge for the California climate; comfortable with indoor plant care
- Pool systems familiarity or willingness to learn (training provided)
- Pest management experience and safe handling of traps/controls
- Comfortable on hillsides and ladders; able to lift/move up to 50 lbs, including propane tanks
- Reliable, detail‑oriented, self‑directed; clear communicator
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; professional references required
- Nice‑to‑have: irrigation troubleshooting, basic handyperson skills, bilingual (Spanish/English)
