Part-Time Permit Coordinator – Electrical / Solar (Remote, Bay Area)
We are a growing electrical contracting company handling solar installs, EV chargers, service upgrades, panel upgrades, and general electrical work that requires permits.
We are putting a team together for next year, and we expect to have a high volume of work, so we are looking for someone dependable to help us finish current projects and prepare for growth.
This is a part-time, mostly remote position, but you must live in the Bay Area and be able to visit city offices when needed.
Job Type: Part-time, remote with occasional travel
Location: Bay Area (must be local)
Responsibilities:
Call and speak with city building departments and PG&E representatives
Explain project details clearly over the phone
Write professional emails to request, submit, and follow up on permits
Track and organize permit statuses for multiple electrical projects
Occasionally drive to city offices to submit or pick up paperwork
Requirements:
Must live in the Bay Area
Reliable transportation for occasional trips to city centers
Must have your own iPad and phone
Strong communication skills (phone + email)
Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
Experience with electrical / solar / construction permits is a plus

Pay:
$20–$40 per hour, depending on experience and efficiency
After you learn the process and establish a routine, pay may transition to piece-work per permit obtained
