Group Fitness Instructors

We are looking for dynamic, energetic, and inspiring instructors to join our team in the South Bay area.

The ideal candidates can build strong relationships with our members, create engaging classes to boost

engagement, foster an inclusive space, and help increase participation. Our motivating instructors are

team players, have a positive attitude, and provide innovative group fitness classes. Instructors must

maintain a safe and effective learning environment and focus on providing the best customer service to

our members. The ability to teach multiple formats is a huge plus. Looking for all group fitness

formats. We are also looking for additional Tai Chi and Sound Healing Instructors.

Responsibilities:

 Comply with all policies and procedures.

 Ensure classes are of the highest quality of content, safety and physical challenge.

 Educate members on safe techniques and guidelines.

 Handle member concerns, or requests in a timely manner.

 Instruct class to the ability level of the students participating.

 Monitor participants through perceived rate of exertion.

 Work with participants to achieve fitness goals.

 Utilize schedule source for personal class scheduling and class substitution.

 Start and finish classes on time as scheduled. This includes set up/break down of any

equipment, and storing all equipment away neatly and appropriately.

 Notify management of equipment problems.

 Deliver an exceptional experience to members, guests and associates.

 Promote the company's safety goals and actively work towards ensuring a safe working

environment.

Qualifications:

 One year teaching group fitness classes

 Ability to communicate and work with a diverse community.

 Effective communication skills.

 Knowledge of safe exercise techniques and principles.

 Ability to effectively demonstrate all skills being taught to participants.

 Maintain a professional attitude toward responsibilities, fellow instructors, and members.

 Be punctual and exhibit a positive attitude.

 Must be outgoing and energetic.

 Lifting of equipment, jumping, squatting, and walking.

Certifications:

 Current Group Exercise certification with ACE, AFAA, ACSM or other nationally accredited

certification

 Specialty Certifications are desired

 Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
