Solar Maintenance Technician

This position is ideal for a skilled technician with a background in solar system maintenance and repair who’s ready to work with advanced technology and contribute to the expansion of clean energy across California. What You’ll Do Your day-to-day work will include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving system performance issues; performing component replacements; conducting detailed inspections; and supporting service operations. To succeed in this role, you’ll need a solid understanding of PV and energy-storage systems, the ability to identify root causes quickly, and strong communication skills for working with both customers and internal teams. We’re looking for a proven professional who can confidently handle a variety of PV and battery service scenarios. This position involves travel within a 100-mile radius of our main office and requires a valid driver’s license. Qualifications Hands-on experience with SolarEdge and Enphase PV systems Familiarity with LG Chem, SolarEdge, Tesla, and/or Enphase battery systems preferred At least 1 year of experience servicing solar systems Minimum 1 year working on solar inverters and electrical panels Solid spatial awareness and basic math skills Comfortable using web-based and mobile software tools Compensation and Benefits $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience Health Insurance: choose from 16 plans; we cover 90% of the employee premium on our base plan Dental & Vision: 90% of the employee premium covered $10,000 Life Insurance policy fully paid by the company 10 days PTO during your first year, plus 7 paid holidays 401(k) plan Employee Assistance Program Additional benefits available About Simply Solar Simply Solar is dedicated to helping California communities transition toward renewable energy and a cleaner future.
