Warehouse Associate – Job Description
Position Summary: Tempo is looking for an employee to assign, pack, and ship inventory out of our warehouse in San Leandro, CA. This position is an hourly, part-time role, entirely dependent on an existing contract to fulfill inventory for one of Tempo’s existing customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and willing to lend a hand wherever needed. The position is onsite with a blend of physical and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities:
Assigning, Packing & Shipping
Assign inventory to customers using RF scanning systems.
Accurately organize and record assigned inventory.
Pack orders securely and accurately for shipment.
Prepare shipping documents and stage packages for carriers.
Receiving & Inventory
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
Verify accuracy of orders against packing slips or invoices.
Label and store products in designated locations.
Assist with regular inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
Warehouse Operations
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts—if certified).
Follow safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
Assist with restocking, cycle counts, and inventory rotation (FIFO).
General Support
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily goals.
Report damaged or missing inventory.
Support other warehouse tasks as needed, which may blend in to Tempo’s normal operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
Ability to lift 30–50 lbs consistently.
Basic computer or RF scanner skills.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is $22 to $24 per hour, based on relevant experience.
This part-time hourly role is anticipated to be 25 hours per week, driven by customers' needs.
Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided when on site.
California Paid Sick Leave (PSL) eligible after 30 days of employment.
